Jesslyna Olivares

Club Services Officer

Jesslyna brings 20 years of combined service and experience in youth development and community programming to the BGCAA team. Her journey in youth development began at the age of 14 when she was appointed to the City of Eagle Pass Youth Commission. There, she helped create, plan, and implement safe and healthy alternative events and programs for youth in the community. During this experience, she found her true life’s purpose and passion.

During college and post-graduation from Texas State University with a degree in Recreation Administration, Jesslyna worked with different municipalities and youth and leadership-centered organizations, serving in various leadership capacities across Texas. Jesslyna has worked with Boys & Girls Clubs of Laredo, Manor ISD, the City of Georgetown PARD, the City of Austin PARD, TRAPS Future and Young Professionals, the City of McKinney PARD, and most recently with Communities In Schools of Central Texas where she was the Senior Director for Youth Enrichment. Jesslyna is a TRAPS Leadership Academy Graduate (Class of 2018), a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional, and has active memberships with TRAPS, NRPA, and ACA. 

Jesslyna lives in Southwest Austin with her partner Karlos and four Chiweenie dogs. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts and events with family and friends, hiking, and anything involving water. When she finds time for herself, she enjoys painting and crafting on her Cricut.
