We are thrilled to announce Sabrina Gilman as the newest member of our Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area (BGCAA) Board of Directors! Sabrina joins us from Emerson, where she is a Vice President and General Counsel + Global Legal Business Leader.

Sabrina brings extensive in-house legal experience, leading diverse teams to support business growth. Her expertise spans commercial issues, corporate governance, M&A, regulatory compliance, litigation, and employment law. Passionate about being a trusted advisor, she fosters diversity and inclusion while leveraging her legal knowledge, business acumen, and communication skills to minimize risk, add value, and drive meaningful change. Known for her ability to connect people, Sabrina has a proven track record of guiding executives through complex transactions, disputes, and governance challenges while developing processes that encourage innovation and business expansion. She is a strong advocate for Emerson’s collaborative, inclusive culture and is committed to creating a positive, supportive, and safe environment for her team and the wider organization.

Sabrina’s journey with BGCAA started in the most joyful way possible. She joined us at our Lagos Elementary Boys & Girls Club this holiday season to spread some holiday cheer! From participating in festive activities to engaging with our incredible Club members, Sabrina has already begun forming meaningful connections with the youth we serve. Her enthusiasm for our work and her commitment to helping kids thrive was evident from the start, and we are confident she will bring tremendous value to our organization.

Our Board grew in 2024!  We also welcomed Brian Jones, Monica Flores, Hazel Stanley, and Robert “Bo” Stanely. We are so excited to see the incredible work we will accomplish together in the new year. Together, we are building brighter futures for the next generation!
