The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area (BGCAA) is excited to announce that Clarissa Davila has joined the team as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. With over 15 years of experience in education and communications, Clarissa brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and dedication to the organization.
Clarissa’s career in education began in the classroom as a Spanish, Debate, and Speech teacher. With her communications degree from St. Edward’s University, she refocused her career and became a communications and outreach coordinator at the school network, where she taught, shared the impactful stories of staff and students, and facilitated community partnerships and programming within the schools.
Clarissa has also been a grassroots advocacy leader, training students, parents, and school staff to share their stories confidently at the Texas State Capitol and empowering them to engage in meaningful advocacy.
As a regional communications and marketing director at Harmony Public Schools – Central Texas, she has led internal and external communications, marketing, and media relations. She later served as the internal communications director at KIPP Texas Public Schools, supporting family and staff communications across the network’s four Texas regions.
She is thrilled to bring her love for storytelling and education to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area, where she aims to showcase the Club’s remarkable impact on the community and youth through powerful stories.
